I start The Babysitting Job for the 12 week old baby tomorrow. I am scared. It does not bode well for me that at 10:00 this morning, I was already so sick of my OWN children's fighting and mess making, that I caved and sent G to his daycare. Wish me lots of luck.
I can make frappuccinos! Thanks for the recipe, Lucy! I'm enjoying one RIGHT NOW, and it didn't cost me $4.
I couldn't fight the urge any longer. I started peeling off the hideous seashells 'n stripes wallpaper in my bathroom. I've got the first layer off and have started scraping off the underlayer. With three children under age 3 underfoot at all times, and my cake "business" booming at the present moment, it should be finished sometime around next June. I know I shouldn't have started, but I just COULDN'T STOP MYSELF.
The wallpaper urge started at my friend Emily's house, where they had started peeling off their bathroom wall paper. I went back there to take really quick pee break, and then all of a sudden I've been in there for 15 minutes and I've peeled two walls of wall paper, laughing hysterically while ripping it off in sheets (SHEETS - AHHHHHH). I am SO much fun at parties.
Speaking of cakes, I had an order for 1 dozen RED colored cupcakes. So I made 12 red, and used the leftover batter to make 12 white cupcakes to freeze for future orders. L parked a basket upside down at the counter and reached, of course, one of the RED cupcakes. She took a huge bite before I could stop her and informed me very seriously, "Just one, mama. Just ONE." ARRRGGG.
I visited my old school yesterday to see some friends' classrooms, and came out, surprisingly, emotionally intact. I do miss the crazy rush of getting started back, but other than that, I think I'm content with my decision to quit. I have several friends there who are scheduled to give me weekly reports on the current school gossip, er, news. So that'll do for now.
I found out, two days after the tickets arrived in the mail, that my Dixie Chicks concert in Des Moines had been cancelled. But I got my money refunded and today, I ordered tickets for the concert in Dallas (in DECEMBER). Something to look forward to, I guess! Gives me time to lose 20 pounds (hahaha - HAHAHA - *snort* - hahaha) and buy a cowboy hat. Yee-haw!

I just couldn't hold back anymore, Donna. And, um...he's not exactly thrilled. And also won't be thrilled when he sees my Master Bathroom Redecorating Wish List. Hehehe.

I'm totally holding you to the cowboy hat pics promise. TOTALLY!!
Stacey, Thanks for Stopping by my blog. Reading your blog reminds me of fond days as a SAHM with two children and babysitting as well.
"Just one, mama, Just ONE," reminds me of my son that used to say, "One more, last one," after being told that he was eating his last cookie for the day. Being a soft touch, I always gave in. He is now 35 and superfit and if memory serves me, he is without cavity fillings.
