Attitude adjustment
Now, I hope I am not jinxing myself by writing this, but I seem to be feeling more stable these days. Ah, yes, I still have mood swings and my children are still driving me bananas and I am still obsessively making lists. BUT! I can't explain it fully, but I just feel more "normal".

I'm not sure where to give credit for this nice, new feeling, but I've got some ideas:

1. G's birthday party is over! The stress, the planning, the shopping, the cleaning of windows and ceiling fans (don't ask)...ov-ah!

2. I quit the babysitting gig. She was an adorable baby, and I miss her now and then, but I now appreciate the EASE of caring for only TWO children. It's all relative.

3. It's fall! Missouri's trees are about to get gorgeous, I just might be able to snuggle up in a blanket and watch a local football game, Halloween is on the way, the weather is turning cool, AND I can hide inside big, cozy sweaters!

4. New shows are back on TV! Gah, how I love me some TV. Hubby was saying the other day that it felt like life was getting back to normal again now that all of "our shows" are back on. I have a slight addiction to television...but that is a post for another day.

5. My friends rock! I've had a rough couple of weeks, and they have all stepped in to "rescue" me in one way or another, from good phone conversations, to stopping by with ready-made margaritas, and more. You all know who you are, and thank you.

6. Possibly the most helpful (ya think?): I have finally gotten myself some Official Help, by way of a few good prescriptions. Yay, anti-anxiety pills and anti-depressants! And since it's only been a week, I'm guessing I'm experiencing nothing but a placebo effect, but who cares? I'LL TAKE IT!

I'm glad you're feeling better! I don't think it's weird to feel that things are 'getting back to normal' just 'cause TV shows are back on - it's also the time of year where everything gets more into a routine, and the excitement of summer has ended and wound down... just 'cause your kids aren't in school full time yet, doesn't mean that September can't have a soothing effect on you.

Hope you continue to feel wonderful! *hugs* (and thanks for the nice comments about my hair/belly... I really appreciate them)

In any event, you are feeling better, and that is good. The reason you are feeling better is probably due to all of the above. Take care.

I feel the same way! And I do think fall has a big part in it. I've always wistfully wished I could look out the windows and see beautiful snow capped mountains but our MO trees ARE really beautiful, aren't they? Ahhhh...I even see a little red in my own yard. And apples on our three trees in back too!! :)

Congrats on feeling more normal. I'm starting to come out of my m/s slump and starting to feel more normal myself. Maybe there IS something in the air...we're only about 4 hours apart, right? LOL Anyway, congrats!!

Fall is the best. Football on the TV,hot chocolate/cider in your cup and being with the one you love under a warm blanket. What a life :)

Good luck with the depression/anxiety. Life is too short not to get a chance to enjoy it.

Well, I'm glad you are feeling better. It really is probably a combo of all the things above.
I personally hate this time of year. I love the cool weather and football but HATE the short days.

I'm so glad you're feeling better. It sounds like you've hit the right combination of pick-me-ups.

We have LOVED having our tv shows back. Feels like we have some kind of nightly routine again, even though most of them are on Thursday. TV is fun, especially for people like us, having little kids and not much of a night life. ;0)

I had 2 kids in 1.5 years (and am doing it again a second time) AND had PPD so I feel for you! Fall always seems like a frumpy time of year for me (darn winter on the horizon) so I love reading posts by people who are excited about fall. Thank you!
