Cake Hell - Day 5
Oh. My. God.

You all have NO IDEA HOW GOOD I FEEL RIGHT NOW.

I mean, I still have to transport all of the cakes tomorrow (and through ice and snow, at that), but they are DONE. The Mad Hatter cake is as done as it's getting until I can get it to the party location and add the flowers, etc.

Shhhh. Listen. Can you hear my sigh of relief? I started the week not sure if I could take care of my kids, keep us fed, get all these cakes done, AND stay sane in the process. But I did it. Whew.

The Baby Shower cakes: (the little round cake and the baby carriage go together...I made the carriage out of a 9x13 sheet cake, and I had to trim so much off to make it that I thought I better make a little 6-inch cake just to make sure there was enough cake. The little cake has some little bluebirds because the mommy-to-be is going to have me paint some bluebirds on her nursery wall).

My birthday is January 9. On that day, I will pretend that my Dairy Queen ice cream cake is a Mad Hatter cake. So pretty!

How in the hell do you do that weaving shit. I keep looking at it waiting for something to click and it's just beyond me how you can thread icing like that.
You rock!
