I am SINCERELY hoping that my brain returns to normal function after this baby arrives. I am basically sitting here watching the cursor blink, wondering WTF happened to any thinking/writing abilities I once possessed.
My body is just really being taken over by this pregnancy. After gestating two times already, I'm beginning to believe that my response to growing a baby is to hole myself up in the house and, well, grow a baby. Other acceptable activities during my pregnancy include eating chocolate icing, giving myself mud-mask facials, and watching Little House On The Prairie repeats. Attractive, no?
I just don't really feel like getting out much, writing much, talking much, or doing much. Don't you know? I am very busy producing new human ears, and such!
The ginormous swollen ankles are beginning to make their appearance after I've spent too much time on my feet. I can actually feel my calves/ankles (hereafter referred to, most lovingly, as "cankles") JIGGLE when I walk. Ah, swelling, my old friend. It promises to be a long, miserable summer.
I have gained just eleven pregnancy pounds so far (I'm twenty-five weeks along). However, I surpassed my DELIVERY weight with my two other children about ten pounds ago. I should be roughly the size of a barge come August.
I'm trying to get the courage to post a few belly pictures, so stay tuned. If you keep coming to visit, you may be rewarded for your efforts (or punished, depending on how you look at it). Until then, look! Cakes and cute children!
Baby shower cake, with my first fondant bow (and YES, that crooked brown stripe drives me BONKERS every time I see it:

Laura on her third birthday. Her Granny made her an entire 50's girl outfit, complete with handmade poodle skirt, t-shirt, cinch belt, saddle shoes, ponytail scarf, and cat-eye glasses. How cute is THIS:
Happy Anniversary to us! Seth and I celebrated seven years on April 22nd. We spent a night in Eureka Springs, Arkansas a few weeks ago (where we honeymooned), where we slept, ate, and I got a facial at a spa. AHHHH. On our actual anniversary, here, we took our kids out to dinner:
Laura thoroughly enjoyed our anniversary dinner (our little Future Competitive Eater ordered steak and green beans, causing me to break out in a sweat every time she took a bite...the choking fear, it consumes me). Garrett said it was fun to go on "our date", because sometimes "You and Daddy go out without us so you can have more fun". Oh, Garrett, but it WAS fun to watch you and Laura stomp on peanut shells, spit out chewed-up wads of steak, and climb under the table! A good time was had by all:

Don't ever leave us like that again!
The first baby shower cake with the fondant bow is GORGEOUS (too pretty to eat!) and Laura looks adorable in her poodle skirt. I always wanted one of those as a kid. Lucky girl.
Happy Anniversary!
Happy anniversary to you and Seth! And I wouldn't worry about becoming a sloth. The fact that you ARE growing a person is totally acceptable. Besides, it's not like you aren't going to run your rear off after this new one for the next 18 years. Cakes are looking great! You need a link to the cake blog on this one so I can find it!
Your cakes are GORGEOUS!! Awesome job!!
Laura looks so cute in her 50's outfit....I want one :)
Kicked eggs into place, huh? That had me giggling!!
Happy Anniversary to you and Seth--no wonder your children are so beautiful....look at their parents!!
Happy Anniversary! That dress on Laura is incredible! And your cakes are beautiful. How I wish I could access your skillz.
I can't believe you're 25 weeks already! This baby will be here in no time! Sorry to hear about the cankles. That's very sad. I had cankles as well, and also trumped my first delivery weight in no time flat with my second pregnancy. It's something to acheive, something to be proud of, what a feat. Ughhh.
Can't wait for belly shots!
Well, Happy Anniversary! Damn, only 11 pounds!!! That is great! I think I gained 11 in the first month with Alyssa, lol.
You have two of the cutest kids ever!!!! I love seeing pics of them. Can't wait for belly pics!
That pic of Laura is seriously way too cute to even look at. Adorable! And Garrett? What the hell happaned, he looks like such a little man!
You and Seth look so happy. Congratulations on 7 years of marriage.
Your cakes? Are freakin' amazing! Is your cake business booming? It should be. You rock (and are also so pretty)!
You do look great Stacey. Even with all your moaning and groaning! LOL
I am glad you caught us up on your life! :) I knew you had material-just have to get yourself to that computer.

They (cakes & children) are beautiful! I think you look beautiful and I just saw you last week! Remember, if the little one you are growing is half as beautiful as the 2 you have already grown it will all be worth it. PS-if you took a picture of Ashlee's cake I would love you to email me a copy-Jenna got into it before we could get a picture! I fully expect Jenna's cake to be on here too!
I can only dream of receiving a baby shower cake as gorgeous as the ones you've made here. Maybe one day you'll deliver?
Happy Anniversary!
Wow! I love those photos of your cakes, they get more impressive each time you post new ones! You are one awesome cake lady!
The kids are adorable as usual, love the 50's outfit! I couldn't help but laugh at your comment about hiding Easter eggs, you poor thing!
Happy Anniversary to you and Seth! Can't wait to see belly pictures!
Those cakes are amazing!!
Your children are beautiful and what a gorgeous little 50's girl outfit :o)
Happy Anniversary!
Garrett is looking like a little man! Laura's poodle skirt is adorable. I didn't have one of those, but I didn't feel neglected until now. Now, I want one.
Happy Anniversary!!!
The cakes are beautiful!
Ashley and Laura need to have an eating contest...
The cakes are great! My husband got fed up with me and my homework the other night and said "at least when you were in cake decorating school school I GOT TO EAT THE HOMEWORK!"....those were the days!
The poodle skirt is adorable (as is the one wearing it) and 10 years from now Garrett will only see the pic of him decorating the eggs, he'll never know it was 5 days after Easter. We just hunted eggs last Sunday!
That is one of the most beautiful cakes I have ever seen! You are so talented Stacey!
I have never seen a cuter outfit!!!!
And your cakes... WOW. Impressive.
When are you due?? I didn't realize that we were so close together in this! I'm due August 30th, with our THIRD BOY! I just found out on Friday.
I've been TOTALLY neglecting my blog since this pregnancy started. I love keeping up with yours though! Heck, I feel like I could've written word for word most of your posts.
Drop me a line sometime.
Oops! Wrong account...the last comment was from me.
Well, no wonder you're tired - you've been super busy! Cakes, cakes, cakes, eggs, egg hunts, traveling, etc. The cakes are beautiful. I think Granny needs to sell those 50's girl costume online - it is the cutest!
