No, seriously. There are stretchy pants. To be more specific, there are denim-like pants with an elastic waistband. As I made my last minute Thanksgiving run to Walmart this evening, I purchased a pair especially for tomorrow's feasting.
Because when one is attending two huge family meals in one day, there is no room for shame. There is only room for an embarrassing amount of turkey, rolls, broccoli and cheese casserole, cranberry sauce, and two or five servings of dessert.
Don't worry, I at least have enough pride to cover the pocket-less, fly-less fashion disaster with a long, roomy shirt. And in my one concession to fashion, at least they are boot-cut.
I should probably plan to address my Food Issues in the coming New Year, no?
In other news, can you guess what happened exactly one year ago tomorrow? I'll give you a hint...

Yep...SHE is what happened. She is fourteen weeks old - you do the math. Isn't she the sweetest little Thanksgiving turkey ever? Her thighs are so fat and roll-y that I want to just roast them up.
Mmm. Have a great Thanksgiving!

Yeah! Glad to see you back. Lordy, what a beautiful baby girl. I wanna hug her up. I cannot believe how she's grown. Those newborn days fly by. Have a graet day with family and feasts. Have missed you.
Awww! She's precious!
Thanks for the stretch pants reminder!
Oh, totally adorable! Have a great Thanksgiving!
How cute! And oddly enough, I just said something to Kevin last night about running out for a two-piece jogging suit set for today. Of COURSE I don't jog. I need room for food...
Let me know when you get on those issues. I'll do that too, haha.
Oh, how sweet she is! :) Post more often, we miss you!!
Love the pictures of Delaney! What is it about a baby grin that just goes straight to your heart!
Have a great turkey day and god bless stretchy pants!
Carey
Hope your pants held up to all the turkey. I wore a dress, so I could skip having a waistline altogether. Delaney is beautiful- thanks for sharing the pictures.
You better tell Seth to stay away from you tomorrow. LOL Apparently, he is turned on by stretchy pants. ;)
She is GORGEOUS!
Hope you had a safe and fabulous turkey day. I actually cooked at my house this year. That's right! ;)
So long as your shirt really does cover up the lack of fly, I'll forgive you. This time.
And Delaney... She's so cute! And she's grown so much! (Duh.)
ahh she is so cute! Hope you had a happy thanksgiving. I ate way too much food and am still full this morning. But there are leftovers to eat and I will do those justice. Now go throw away the stretchy pants! Unless of course you are saving those for Christmas dinner?
