I just wanted any readers I have left to know that I'm STILL HERE! However, I am currently:
1. On a Ben and Jerry's ice cream high.
2. Really pissed that the Mexicans were BOOING Miss USA. All of my products from the grocery store now have to have Spanish and English labels, we have to have ESL aides (English As Second Language) in our classrooms, and THEY ARE BOOING US? #%$%$^%^%$^%$&*&*&*($%#$#@. So that's how I feel about that.
Back tomorrow once the ice cream haze wears off. Goodnight!

you know what? I heard booing too!! That is sooo rude. WTF? I live on a street... and town for that matter that is being overrun by them... they are in OUR country.... we are trying to share.. even though most of them are ILLEGALLY here...
Oh that pisses a sista off.
I heard Miss USA fell on her butt too... gah.. what a bummer.
Honestly, most of those girls were not very pretty... I think it is a stupid contest....
oooo I can walk straight and look pretty... oooooo
whoop te do.....
anyway, pms is going on full throttle..... :)
F#%$^&*&g mexicanos.... err.
ps.. im not signing my name to this one.... stacey.. you know who I am........ :) Love ya!
I think at this point in time Miss USA would probably get booed in a lot of countries. It's a shame but it happens. Last year in the hockey playoffs the Anaheim Duck fans booed the Canadian anthem. Such is the way things go.
I agree with Emma. Thanks to the current administration, we don't exactly have the best reputation around the world rigt now. We need somone, like say, oh, I don't know, Al Gore, to straighten things up. :)
Sounds like Anonymous is a little hot under the collar. What's the deal with assuming all Mexicans are illegal immigrants? And I wouldn't say most of "them" are illegal. This country was founded by immigrants. All citizens have the same right to be here.
(Steps off soapbox)
Wow! Who would have thought that such a short blog could bring about a little controversey? But things being discussed is healthy. I am behind on the Miss USA news but I do agree that they have NO business booing anybody. At all. Ever. Not in this country. We have done the proper adaptations-if you are not happy-um....leave.
I understand how you feel about the ESL and the damn labels. I live in New Mexico and and most of the hispanic people living here were born here. Even though she is whiter than myself, my daughter-in law is Mexican. I have found that the people who piss me off come in all shapes and colors. So do the people I love. I think it's that way for us all.
On a WAY lighter note, you should visit Virginia Beach! Along the oceanfront, there is a Ben & Jerry's and/or DQ on every block! It's amazing!
I heard about this but didn't watch it firsthand. She was really boo'ed? And she fell too? Wow. Poor thing....
Can you believe that? I say you just rant and rave all you want and take advantage of the ice cream induced, pregnancy related diatribes that you can muster.
I've meen missing you!
I tuned in just as the "booing" started and was not sure of what I was hearing. When did Miss USA fall?
The Ben and Jerry's factory in Vermont is the best. There is nothing to compare to little blobs of cookie dought falling off of the conveyer belt into a big vat of vanilla icecream!
Stacey, Thanks again for all of the work you put into Maegans cookies. She was thrilled with the cookies and felt very important when I showed them to her on your web site.

It was tacky BUT I think the thing we all need to be proud of is that even though they were booing her she kept her head up and kept her self together and gave a great answer. I give her major kudos because of would not have been able to handle myself as fabulously as she did. Way to go Miss USA!
I SOOOO agree with Anonymous at the very top.... you get it girl... you are soooo right! They are taking over like cockroaches...
Im not signing this either...
Stacey... Im gonna need a cake June 13th... I will be calling.. :)
It's not like the people who booed Miss USA represent the entire Mexican population. Every race has rude people with narrow minds. Obviously.
It was horrible. I turned it on right before Miss USA fell and my heart dropped out of my body. Yes, I'm pretty sure that's what happened. And then the booing? That was horrible. I felt so bad for her. I went to bed that night feeling ill because we, as Americans (not as individuals) are so hated right now by so many people. I'm going to stop there for fear of getting on my BUSH SUCKS soap box.
I might should do a whole blog on this but I think the reason she was booed, I think, has to do with the fact that Miss Mexico didn't make the Top 5 but Miss USA did, even after falling on her ass. It doesn't make it okay, but it made me feel a little better that maybe they were supporting Miss Mexico by booing Miss USA instead of just plain hating us (but that might be the case).
Yeah, I need to post on this because I have more to say but don't want to take up too much of your comment space. I'll get it up Friday.
I am ready to go to Vermont or Virginia Beach now! :)
